Day 2 - Visit to the mine

Breakfast – toutons & eggs - Toutons are a bread like pancake that you use molasses or Maple syrup poured over.

Speeches of the team members to kind of outline what their role is and what they expect to of the other team to help the team out as a whole

Load vehicles to move some gear and food / drink over to the island

Trip to island – Van and Ferry - got tour of pilot house and engine room

Welcome from the Bell Island Heritage society – Gordon, Claton (two other people)

Move gear from storage room to dressing room

Dave S, Vlada, Phil Short, Rick Stanley, Stephen Phillips go for a walk off the existing tour path away for the group due to excitement of seeing what they’ll be diving.


Leave mine and headed back to Ferry. Pick up some Dick’s Fish & Chips before boarding.

Head back to lodge, relax and plan what’s going to happen on Day 3 (actual day of getting in the water)

Leave lodge to head out for Chinese dinner, head down town to local pup for a quick drink

Head back to lodge and hit the sac for an early rise and start of Day 3.
